What is TACTEL® NYLON?

TACTEL® fiber is the United States of America DuPont (DuPont) for its invention of nylon (Nylon) 66 fiber registered trade name, so nylon 66 is TACTEL® fiber, now and Lycra ® LYCRA owner is the same company United States Invista (Invista).

TACTEL® NYLON v.s. General Nylon Fiber

There are many different types of nylon, and most of the nylon 6 and nylon 66 (TACTEL® fiber) used in sportswear on the market today are the main components, although they are very similar and have a lot of similarities. Heat Resistance

Generally, the heat resistance of Nylon 6 is not good, the heat resistance of TACTEL® fiber is higher than that of Nylon 6 by about 50 degrees Celsius, and if you have the conditions, you can directly iron the sample with an iron that reaches 230 degrees Celsius, which cannot be withstood by the Nylon 6 material. TACTEL® fiber has better heat resistance, which is conducive to the thermal formation of the layer post-processing, giving the fabric a wider space for heat treatment and the ability to resist low-temperature climate.

Touch

The surface of Nylon 6 is also rougher than that of TACTEL® fiber. Both Nylon 6 and TACTEL® fiber are considered to be strong and durable fibers. However, when comparing the two, TACTEL® fiber is stronger, more malleable and more durable than normal fibers. The crystalline structure of Nylon 6 is looser and therefore less resilient, while TACTEL® fiber is more resistant to collapse and resilient, so that the fleece will not collapse and affect the image of the product over a long period of time.

Weight

TACTEL® fiber is lightweight, more than 15% lighter than Nylon 6, and its specific gravity of 1.14 is lower than that of polyester fiber 1.38, which is the best choice for high-grade lightweight fabrics after fiber refinement.

Color Fastness

In engineering materials, TACTEL® fiber has the advantage of color fastness and high melting point, TACTEL® fiber has poor dyeing (which means good stain resistance), but high color fastness and will not fade; compared to Nylon 6, although it is easy to dye, but it is also easy to fade, TACTEL® fiber has a good degree of polymerization and the above mentioned excellent crystalline morphology of yarns makes its yarns have excellent resistance to chemical properties. Soft and breathable

TACTEL® fiber has the characteristics of soft touch, good breathability, skin-friendly and comfortable. The surface is smooth without any roughness, and it has good moisture wicking ability, which is a commonly used material for sportswear.

High elasticity

Clothing fabric made of TACTEL® fiber is light and elastic, and due to its excellent elasticity, it can be stretched back to its original state. Whether it's for strenuous exercise or high stretch yoga, TACTEL® fabrics are often used in clothing that won't break easily during pulling and tugging. It can be used to fit in with the body's movements.

Easy to Wash

TACTEL® fiber is easy to wash and maintain, can be hand-washed or machine-washed, drying time is three times faster than cotton. Color fading is not easy on nylon fabrics. It is suitable for normal neutral detergents. Avoid using fabric softener together with it. It is not suitable for hot water washing, and can be dried in a ventilated area after washing.

Anti-wrinkle effect

TACTEL® fiber has a strong anti-wrinkle effect, under normal use and maintenance cleaning, it is unlikely to produce wrinkles, after washing the clothes before drying a few times to let the clothes flat, it can reduce the wrinkles after drying, but if there is a need to iron it, just iron it at a low temperature across a layer of fabrics.

High color fastness
